Welcome To Canterbury Street Pastors Website

We would like to extend an invitation for you to learn more about our ministry in the historic Cathedral City of Canterbury.

We are part of a national team that was first established in 2003, and Street Pastors continues to expand throughout the UK and around the world.

Canterbury Street Pastors was founded in 2011 by Rev. Andrew Fitzgerald from Canterbury Baptist Church. Street Pastors are trained volunteers from local churches who are dedicated to caring for our local community.

We typically patrol from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday nights, providing assistance and support to individuals on the streets. Our Prayer Pastors, located at our base or home, maintain regular contact with the Street Pastors, praying for the city of Canterbury, the people out and about, and the situations that the Street Pastors encounter.

We are an integral part of a wider community safety group within the city and are well-recognized as a vital partner. Our local coordinator leads us, and we receive support from local churches and community groups in collaboration with the police, local council, and other statutory agencies.

We hope you find our website informative and enjoyable to browse
